I walked in to the shop 5 minutes before the kitchen closed (sorry!) I ordered a cheeseburger and chips to takeaway. The staff were lovely. And I am very confident in saying, this was the second best cheeseburger I've ever had in my life. The best was from a food truck that sold nothing but cheeseburgers, so don't feel bad. I'll definately be back the next time I'm in Corowa for another one of those amazing cheeseburgers!
Awesome food, excellent value for money, super friendly service.. was that good yesterday we came back again today.. best Tomato relish, better than anything you'd find at a CWA stall definitely the go to for breaky in corowa.
Been to this place a few times now. Brunch ordered on two occassions - which was poached eggs and bacon. Bacon cooked to my liking and poached eggs were perfect (not many places make the perfect poached egg now a days). Also had lunch with my youngest grandson - meals were delicious. Great customer service. Quirky cafe. Will be back again to try other meals.

Passing through Corowa so only got a coffee. Staff were friendly and the place has such a great feel about it....warm, relaxed and inviting. Have to plan to return.
I suffer from severe coeliac disease, and in general, if I take the risk of eating out, it usually has to be at a very high-end restaurant. Because of that, it’s been a long time since I’ve been able to enjoy burger and chips a classic Aussie favourite. I called Barrel & Brew beforehand and explained my situation. The response I got made me comfortable enough to give it a try. Normally, when you call a venue, they’ll say “yeah, we’ve got gluten-free buns,” and when you ask about fryers, you’re met with an awkward “uhh… no.” The kitchen and staff here genuinely understand the difference between gluten-free and coeliac. I’ve now had the same meal here three times, and I haven’t been “glutened” normally I’m sick for up to three days after eating out. While I don’t believe anywhere can ever be completely safe unless it’s a fully gluten-free kitchen, the risk here feels very low. I would highly recommend Barrel & Brew to any coeliacs, whether you’re local or just visiting.

We attended on the 27th Feb 2026 for a morning coffee. We have been to a few other cafes in the area, but for the quality of the coffee, this was far and away the best. The interior is spacious with lots of different tables and couches. It has a whole area of books to read and lots of great little gifts to buy. For atmosphere alone, it's well worth a look. If you take your coffee seriously, this is the place to go. Oh and the staff are supet friendly ! Highly recommend.
We came to Corowa over Easter weekend to see the annual van show, we’re shocked to see so much more happening in this little town which was amazing, we walking into this old looking cafe and it was like stepping into a tent from Harry Potter, it was so big and the hole set out of the cafe was to rustic looking from the paint job to the lighting dim but not too dark it was a well suited vibe. The cafe was sooo packed due to these Billy cart races that were happening outside, there was a fairly large wait time for coffee but that was understandable due to how busy it was and I can tell you that the wait was well worth it the coffee was perfect and I mean perfectly balanced delicious espresso. We also got bacon and egg rolls they were the done amazing as well perfect bacon not to soft and not too crunchy. We were very happy overall with our visit and we will be back again so that I can have a browse threw the shop side to this exquisite little cafe they had salt and pepper shakers books, jewelry and lots of little knickknacks for sale. I have never Before seen a cafe like this.
I visited this cafe today and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was fresh and delicious. My coffee was made perfectly and arrived promptly despite the cafe being busy. It’s clear that the team works hard to provide great service and create an enjoyable environment for their customers. I left feeling satisfied and look forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended!
